Who says you need an expensive guitar to have a decent tone? I suppose it would save a lot of hassles like I've gone through in trying to get one.

It's been quite some time that I played my old Yamaha G100A classical guitar which I bought back in the early 1970's for a song. Yeah it was a cheapo, but I still got it and it looks brand new except for some scratches here and there. It was the instrument I relearned to play on back in 2005 after I took it out of storage. It sat there since the mid 70's.

I must say that finding the right set of strings was the most difficult aspect of finding a decent tone on it. The other was the settings on my little mixing board for recording. I'm still experimenting with the sound but I feel that it's about the best I can get from a cheapo guitar which is pretty good in my opinion.

I want to do a lot more with it and incorporate soprano sax and flugel horn as secondary instruments rather than the main as they have been currently. Although I have other guitars around especially an electric which goes back to 1967, I like to play my classical mostly as it's always handy to pick up. It just sits there waiting for me in the open, no case. Haven't had it in the case since 2005 and it doesn't show any warping in the neck. When ever I'm in the mood to play, that's what I pick up. The other guitars sit in their protective cases.
